What is your favorite job/occupation for your Sims to hold? I haven't played all the jobs/careers yet, but I have discovered that I really enjoy the Inventor career. There just seem to be so many "surprises" that happen. In fact, last night, my inventor Sim travel led back into the past and ended up adopting a child that she brought back with her- I suspect he was an ancestor of hers, since he looked suspiciously similar. ;D I've also tried the fireman career. It was fun for a while, but I found it to be a bit repetitious and I didn't like that the career reward was a fire engine. I have NEVER seen a fire engine parked in someones driveway or being driven for any reason other than going to a fire or some sort of demonstration where firemen are presenting (elementary schools and such). It just bugs me to have that as a personal Sim item.

I found that I don't really care for the careers that came with Ambitions (although I have only tried Fire person, stylist, and home decorator). The stylist one is hard because whatever you think is pretty they hate, the home decorator one is hard for me because I play with cheats, so when things are normally okay for me, NPC sims complain about space issues, and the freman one WAS repetitve and kind of annoying when you couldn't find the person who needed rescuing.
I think my favorite is any of the self-emplyed options because they allow for a stay-at home parents (I like to load up on toddlers).

I have not played any of them in-depth but I do enjoy the self-employed careers since they give more time flexibility! I just started having a sim in my wishacy do inventing and so far I like it! I like the investigator/private eye career as well the cases can be fun! However, it's a time consuming job. I like the architect one as well since I like to decorate but I understand what Bloo means by being frustrated without being able to freely cheat and move objects.
I've never really played any of them long enough to have a dead set opinion though.

I have not played all the jobs/careers yet, there are a lot I'd still like to try. My fav. ambitions ones that I've tried are the Ghost Hunter and the Firefighter., they are a lot of fun! I too love the self-employed option. It is really helpful like what Bloo & Whisp said. I always make sure one of the adults in my family is self-employed that way I don't have to get a crappy babysitter! Plus you can make a lot of money just painting all day (or whichever self-employment you choose).
